31 - that's how many days before I leave for Portugal and Spain to walk the Way of St. James - the Camino de Santiago. I hadn't been in WI for 6 months when I discovered the Southern Wisconsin Chapter of American Pilgrims on the Camino and felt like it was a sign. Now a little over 3 years later, I'm walking 8-12 miles 2-3 times a week, looking for the best, and lightest, clothing and supplies that I'll need to carry in my backpack and looking at various routes and stages for my first Camino. It's exciting and, well, a lot. But, thanks to the Camino chapter for sharing tips and suggestions over the last 3 years and caring friends who might be panicking over my packing list for me, it's going to be ok. The Camino will provide.
