My flights were fine, if fully booked and a little chaotic boarding, but I arrived in Porto 11.15am Porto time on Tuesday, May 20. I hopped on their metro link to head downtown to the Cathedral for my first pilgrimage credential stamp.

At the Cathedral square I saw two people with backpacks similar to mine and asked if they knew where to get the pilgrim stamp. They didn’t, but together we found our way to an office that gives them out near the Cathedral. They were from Florida and we’ll be walking the same route tomorrow so I may see them.
After that it was time to find my guesthouse for tonight’s stay. My WiFi was very spotty so it took longer than expected, but finally I found the lovely space.

And here’s the view from my window.

Then it was time for ?lunch? My bod’s really not sure. But, I ventured to a nearby restaurant and had a salad and tested two local red wines from Porto, at the suggestion of my server.

A shower felt good, and a rest is good, too, but I’ll go back out soon!
Looks beautiful!! Glad you got there safe.
