Day 11 Caldas de Reís to Padrón

A peaceful walk today with some ups and downs but much of the Way was gentle and easier on the feet, legs and knees.

Not the first km marker we saw, but early on!

Then time for a coffee and a bite as we wait until 1pm for the Albergue to open ( it was 11:30am when we arrived. Camino kitty outside the café door. 🐈‍⬛

Now we go inside the church in Padrón

Check in, shower, rest then some exploring and dinner. And, good night! One more longish day and then Santiago!

Day 10 Pontevedra to Caldas de Reís

A lovely walk out of Pontevedra and it’s historic buildings and area…

it was early, no coffee, but as you can see other pilgrims were up and setting out also!

A pretty tranquil walk one leaving Pontevedra. Lots of time to think and pray.

Which seems applicable to the Camino and life.

I knew this was on the Camino Portugués but wasn’t sure which route or where. So happy to snap the picture.

Beautiful countryside. The kms seem to fly by-not really, well, maybe sometimes…now we’re just 44.7 from Santiago. I find it hilarious that the markers take the kms out to 3 decimals for the distance-no rounding, very precise.

At a lovely albergue in Caldas de Reís for an afternoon rest, and maybe I’ll have to try the massage chair in the lobby!
